Spring is in the Air

I can't believe how quickly this year is going by. Today is officially the first day of Spring! This Spring I am going to focus on two of my favorite things: Running and Yoga.

I have been practicing yoga for a few years now, but I haven't really made it apart of my life here in Colorado. This week I finally picked a class and went. I am so happy to finally get out my yoga mat and head back to yoga class.

It is finally starting to be warm enough outside to grab my running shoes and go for a run. I love everything about running outside. It was the first time that I was able to go outside for run. I had the best workout, in 1 hour I was able to do 30 minutes of weightlifting, run 3 miles at a less then 10 min per mile pace, and I burned over 600 calories.

Fun New Things at Disney World!

Earlier this year, Joe and I went to Disney World to Run the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon! I was a Disney World Passholder for 5 years so I figured it was just going to be a normal fun trip to disney. However, I noticed many new things. 

Magic Bands 

Joe and I stayed on property and I was really excited when our Magic Bands were delivered to our house. The box was really nice and the concept was neat. Magic Bands are given to all guest who stay on Disney property, their primary purpose is a way to get into your room. However, you can attached a credit card to the band which allows you the ability to purchase things through out the park. You can attach your ticket to your band. You can also use the bands for Fastpass+. Once you have made your reservations you can go online and set up your vacation. The website is really easy to use and has a ton of information. You can choose your favorite color and your band will be sent to you in that color with your name printed on the inside. The use of Magic Bands start the moment you arrive at Orlando International, so be sure to put them in your carry on. 

Over all the Magic Bands were great, they were not that bad to wear and easy to use. At times it was difficult to get the band to register, you really need to make sure the Mickey ears touch at the right spot. We did decide to attach our credit card to the band and all of the charges were correct. Although Magic Bands are in the test stage, I am sure we will continue to see them at the park. 

Fast Pass+

The Fast Pass is one of Disney's greatest inventions, if you plan your Fast Passes correctly you can spend almost no time at all waiting in lines. Fast Pass+ gives you the tools to plan correctly. You use the Diseny World website or an awesome app called "My Disney Experience" to plan your trip. You are allowed 3 Fast Pass+ passes in one day and your Magic Band to enter in a special Fast Pass+ line. The concept is amazing and I am sure once Disney figures out how to get all of the kinks worked out it will be awesome! But, there are currently kinks... You only can use your 3 passes at one park. For example, if you are spending half of your day at Magic Kingdom and half of your day at Epcot, you have to choose which park you want to use your passes at. Once you use 1 pass at a park you must use the rest at that park. You only get 3 passes a day, but if you have a hard ticket also, you can use both the Magic Band and your hard ticket to get regular Fast Passes. 

Interactive Games 

One last new thing that I wanted to share was Interactive games that were put into Magic Kingdom. There were 2 of them that we found. The first was called Sorcerers at it can be found at the fire station on Main Street. You are given a deck of playing cards, showed how to play the game,  and then handed a map of where all of the locations are.

To play the game you have to place your Key card against the card reader and a video will play. You have to watch the video carefully and then cast your "spell" in order to beat the villan.  Then the video will give you a clue to where you need to go next. The game takes you to a few locations through out the park. I was really impressed with the creative ways that the videos played. It is a good way to entertain small kids or good for someone who has been to the park many times and is looking for something new to do. 

The other game that we found was called A 

Pirate's Adventure. It can be found in Adventure Land just before you get to Frontier Land. Joe and I really liked this game. You are given a pirate map and have to go around and figure out the clues to go to the next spot. The animation for the clues were really good. I would recommend this game for people of all ages. There was no wait to play and only took 15-20 minutes to complete it! 

Joe and I had a such a fun time at Disney and I will be posting a Marathon Recap later this week! I will also be putting together a review of the new Fantasy Land at Magic Kingdom.

Cheers Corie!

 
This week I want to send cheers to my blog friend Corie! She blogs over at True Love and Football! Corie has been following me and I have been following her since I started blogging. She is one of my favorite blogs to follow. We have a few things in common, she knows what it's like to be married to the Army, she loves making lists, and she is organized ( I try to be)!

I am so excited to be apart of the launching of a brand new link up brought to us by the lovely Casey! I met Casey when I was a new blogger and we have been great friends since. I am loving this new link up because it gives us the opportunity to met new bloggers and send "Cheers" to bloggers that inspire us or are just plan awesome!

I would like to introduce you all to Stephanie from Army Crafter! I met Stephanie through the Cara Box Link up this past month. She is an Army Wife that loves to run, crochet, and cook! She is able to maintain a career while still being a very supportive army wife. I look up to her commitment to her husband and career. She also has two very cute dogs. She is your girl next door that seems to have it all together.

I also wanted to send some Cheers to one of my favorite bloggers Helene from Helene in Between! I am sure most of you already know her and probably know why I think she is awesome. But, I am going to tell you anyways. Helene is ridiculously funny.  Her blog has a nice balance of getting to know her and her everyday life with a fun twist of comic relief! The other really cool thing is that she is very involved the blogging community i.e. even though she is a "bigger" blogger she actually reads smaller blogs like mine! I really enjoy reading what she has to say and am often inspired at how successful she has been!

Tiny Tea TeaTox - Review

Today is day 5 of my 28 day Tiny Tea TeaTox and I feel great! I have been noticing a lot of teatoxs on  instagram with amazing results. I chose Tiny Tea because they didn't promise that I would lose weight overnight. The before and after photos were all girls my size that just toned up. Tiny Tea also promises more energy, less bloating, and clearer skin.

I was so happy with the quick delivery and really cute packaging, that I couldn't wait to start my teatox. I have tried a traditional detox in the past and was happy with the results but not so happy with the laxative side effects. Tiny Tea is not a laxative, it is a mix of Chinese herbal tea that helps aid with your digestive system.

The first day I felt sick. My stomach was turning and I didn't know why. With a little bit of research on their website/instagram I learned that feeling sick is normal. They say that it is the toxins leaving your body. I am not sure if I buy that story, but I haven't felt sick since.

Pros:

• The tea tastes like a really earthy green tea. I like to add a slice of lemon. The website says you can also add honey. 
• My skin is clear! I have always had good skin, but the past few days my skin has been so clear and smooth. 
• I have more energy. 
• It's not a laxative, so less time in the bathroom!
• My clothes are fitting better. I haven't lost any weight, but my stomach feels flatter. I can't wait to see my results at the end of the teatox. 
• The tea comes in single serve tea bags, easy to take with you.

Cons:

• You drink the tea 3 times a day, 30 mins before you eat. This has been kind of difficult, because it is a hot tea and you need access to hot water. The tea is not recommended to drink cold. 
• You can only order the tea online, so you have to wait for it and it is sometimes back ordered. 
• It's more expensive then the traditional detox that I did. $65 for the Tiny Tea vs $30 for First Cleanse (other detox).

Overall, I am very happy with the teatox so far and I can't wait to see my final results.

Things I am loving about Colorado

I have been in Colorado for over 30 days now and I am really enjoying it. Here are a few things that I am currently loving about Colorado:

• I am loving the mountains. It's so nice to look out my window and see Pikes Peek or go from a run and have trees all around. I am so blessed to live in such an amazing place. 
  
  
  
• I am loving driving in less traffic. Living in Los Angeles was great, but the traffic was horrible. It is amazing how much traffic can affect your mood. Last weekend I went back home and realized that traffic gives me so much stress. It is so nice to come to Colorado and have less traffic. I drive 70 miles to work and I don't mind the hour drive because I am actually  moving. 

• I am loving my new friends. It is so nice to move some where and have friends instantly. That is kind of what happened to me here in Colorado. I had my Blogging friends Mal and Kaitlyn. Plus, I had a few other friends in the area. Some through mutual friends and family. Mal has been my go to friend her in Colorado, we have had many dinner dates, watched a movie, and just hung out. I am sure we will continue to be great friends. Kaitlyn has been amazing, she was my resource on Colorado before I even got here. Once I did get here, she invited me over to meet some of her friends. 
  
  
  
• I am loving my new job! I had been stressing about not working once I moved out here for about 6 months. Joe assured me that everything would be ok if I didn't have a job but I need to work for my sanity. I love working, it is part of who I am. I received the call almost 2 months ago and within a few weeks, I was moving to Colorado. Denver International has been amazing. I have learned so much about airport ops and my co-workers couldn't be any nicer. I am also loving my 3 day weekends! Working only 4 days a week is awesome. 
  

I am excited to explore Colorado even more, once Joe gets back in November. This will be our first home together and I can't wait to make a ton of memories and share some of them along the way.

Disneyland - Care Package

I am so excited to finally have another care package post. I have been totally slacking in the care package department. When Joe first deployed, I was sending a care package once every two weeks. But, after the move and starting a new job, I think it has been almost a month. Hopefully, I will be able to get back to at least once every three weeks. I made sure to make this care package a good one. I have a bunch of really awesome things in my mind of what a great care package should be, but most of my ideas really take some time and planning. I knew from the moment that I got my Joe Doll, that I needed to take him to Disneyland! It is my favorite place in California and it gave me an excuse to take a picture with all of the characters (not that I needed one).

My main idea for this box as to go to the park and get as many signatures in an autograph book and get a picture with me, Joe Doll, and the character. It was so much fun and everyone was so thankful for what Joe is doing. My sister and I were able to get the book filled up by noon! Later this week I will share with you another secret of Disneyland and how I got to meet all of the characters. But for now, here are a few of my favorite pictures.

Back to the box,  I went to Michaels and found some really cute paper and stickers. I decided that I would put Disney quotes on the main flaps of the box and I even put some on the outside of the box (there were way to many good ones that I couldn't leave out). 

Inside of this box I put the following items:

• An autograph book with signatures and pictures
• Chocolate and caramel popcorn from the park
• Mickey Mouse rice crispy treat
• Chip and Dale Pretzels
• Mickey Mouse head shaped "gold fishes" (Joe loves Gold Fish)
• Candy from the Candy Shop at Disneyland (Joe's favorite, Candy Corn) 
• Cookies, Crackers, and all kinds of snacks
• More water enhancers, Mio
• More wipes 

The autograph book couldn't have came out any better. I loved that the characters where all very excited about the Joe Doll and some even left personalized "thank you" notes to him. 

This is one of my favorite boxes that I have done. Disneyland is my favorite place to go and I am so happy I was able to share that with Joe. We will be going to Disney World early January and I am planning on getting an autograph book there and getting pictures with all of the characters with me and the real Joe!

What I like about Costco!

There is nothing better then going to Costco and being able to buy whatever your little heart desires. (Ok, maybe there are lots of things that are better) The feeling of walking around and exploring isle after isle of things you didn't know you needed in bulk until you see it. Since I have moved to Colorado, I have been to Costco 2 times and have left with carts full of treasures things I need. Everything from cleaning supplies to food. 

Here is why I love Costco:

1. Samples -  Need I say more? It's always nice to go to Costco on a Saturday evening and graze on the samples of stuff you love and stuff you never new existed. As an extra bonus, the sample workers are always so pleasant. 
   
2. You can find everything you need in one store - With isle after isle of goodness, Costco has what you are looking for. It's also nice that they have gone away from the giant bag of Edamame to the giant box with 15 individual wrapped bags of edamame. They have been able to make it easier for someone like me (I live alone) to shop and stock up there.

3. The prices are unbeatable - As long as you have room to stock up on stuff. One thing that I bought this past trip to Costco was cleaning supplies. I was able to get such a good deal on every type of cleaning supply I wanted. And I am very lucky that I have a ton of space to store it all. 
   
4. Every Costco is set up similar -  No matter where you are in America, Costco is always the same. It was such an easy adjustment going from Costco in Los Angeles to Costco in Colorado. 
   
5. The food court - If you didn't get your hunger fix with all of the samples, Costco offers a pretty good food court that is nicely priced. 
6. The workers are amazing- It's always nice to interact with the workers at Costco, I feel like they really do enjoy their job. This past trip I bought a desk that would not fit into my car if it was left in the box. Plus, the box was really heavy and I know that I would have never been able to get it out of my car. The working that was helping me, suggested that we take it out of the box and put it in my car in pieces. Genius. 

I really could go on and on about Costco, but I am sure that many of you are Costco members so I won't. If you aren't a member, you should really think about it.
