This week has been so much fun! My dad came to visit and I made sure he got a good taste of what Colorado is all about.
1. The first day I took him to Garden of the Gods and we did a little bit of rick climbing and hiking. My dad and I share a passion for adventure, so we went off the normal path and found a bunch of really neat red rocks. So naturally I decided it was a good idea to climb them. :)
2. My dad and I made the drive up Pikes Peak and the weather couldn't have been any more perfect. We also went at a great time to see the leaves change colors. It is officially fall here in Colorado!
3. We also made a trip to the Cave of Winds! It was so much fun. I have been there before with Joe and I knew it was on the list of things that I needed to take my dad to. Unfortunately, the candle your was not available. But, the exploration tour was just as good.
4. A few coworkers of mine had suggested that we go and see the Denver zoo and it was such a great zoo! The animals were so active and they had every type of animal that you can think of. I will be taking Joe to the Denver zoo when he comes home for sure!
5. I just might have the best boyfriend ever. He knows exactly when to send me flowers and when to surprise me. It's always so nice to come home to fresh flowers.
I am so sad that my dad is leaving but the good news is that Joe will be home in a month!!

ReplyDeleteI love Garden of the Gods. Such gorgeous scenery. We drove through C. Springs when my husband (then BF) was going from Fort Lewis to Fort Sill. I made him stop at Garden of the Gods.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great visit you had with your Dad. It's always so hard to say goodbye but your right, only 1 more month and Joe will be home. Definitely something to look forward to.
