Life Lately

Wow, I can't believe that I have let a few weeks go by without even looking at my blog. I was just not feeling it. Even though I had tons to write about, nothing sparked my interest. But after my blogging break, I have decided that blogging does bring me joy. It connects me to woman who give me strength and women who I have great friendships with. It gives me an outlet to express my feelings and a place to share my experiences with you, my readers.

Life has been very hectic this past few weeks, Joe is officially back to work full time and I am working nights. Yes, you read that right, Nights! I work Sunday-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am. So Joe and I generally don't see each other from Sunday at 6:30pm until Thursday at 6:30pm. It has made me slightly upset and very sad. Joe is really enjoying his new position in the Army and I can tell his level of happiness with his job has gone up dramatically.

I have also been struggling with managing my time, with the new adjustment of working at night, I find that I am either sleeping, eating, or working.  I don't have time to do much of anything else and on my days off all I want to do is sit around my house and rest. This past week I have started to reintroduce working out and going to the gym. One good thing about my new found exhaustion is that I just don't spend money anymore. I have no desire to go out and shop. Crazy right? Also, my new night shift people tend to bring their lunches and we never go get food. In January, I think I only ate out 3 times!

The past few months have brought us a ton of amazing adventures. We went to Iceland ( I will finish the Iceland Re-caps soon), we ran a marathon, and we got engaged!!! I have plenty to write about and I can't wait to share what we have been up to and also get back into blogging about my fitness journey with you!

So with that, I promise to blog at least 4-5 times a week! :)

Have you ever taken an extended break from blogging?

  1. I've hit a blogging slump too! I don't know if I could ever do nights so I give you props! I hope you get into a routine soon. And congrats again! :)

  2. Congrats on the engagement! That's a pretty good reason to take a break from blogging.
